Terms and Conditions

Please familiarise yourself with the following Terms and Conditions BEFORE bringing your cat for boarding at Catwick Cattery.

  • A full day's board is charged for the day of arrival and departure where the cat is collected after 11:00am Monday to Friday, after midday on Saturday as the chalet must be cleaned, disinfected and prepared for the next occupant.
  • Collections are not available on Sunday.
  • Cats cannot be released until full payment is received.
  • A minimum fee (the equivalent to five days boarding) is charged for Christmas, New Year and Easter. In the event of the owner returning before the end of the period for which a cat is booked, the full period is charged.
  • Please be aware that if booking boarding for the following year, the boarding rate may have increased from the time of booking to when you board, as prices are reviewed each year, with alterations commencing 1st January.
  • If a definite booking is made but your cat never arrives and no notice or cancellation is given, you are liable for payment for the full period booked.
  • Payment of all boarding fees should be made at the time of collection except in long term boarding where arrangements are made for the account to be settled monthly. Payment is by cash or BACS transfer only, no cheques. We regret that we do not have a debit/credit card facility at the present time.
  • It is strongly recommended that cats are brought in a secure carrier which can be stored on the premises.
    All cats should be treated against fleas and worms before entering the cattery.
  • We require a contact telephone number of a friend, relative or mobile phone of the owner in the event of a delay or problem.
  • All belongings are left at the owner’s risk.
  • Cats will NOT be accepted for boarding without their current vaccination card for immunisation against flu and enteritis.
  • Owners must inform Catwick Cattery at the time of booking or arrival of any medical history.
  • We reserve the right to refuse admission of any cat showing signs of illness pending veterinary advice or any long-haired cat that the management considers to have an excessively matted coat.
  • The grooming of cats will be carried out as necessary and it is appreciated if owners have their own grooming equipment that they bring it with the cat. However, Catwick Cattery will not be responsible for grooming any cat that gets distressed or risks causing harm to staff whilst being groomed.
  • We will administer medication when necessary, but cannot be held responsible for administration of any cat proving difficult or if the cat risks causing harm to staff whilst medication is administered.
  • We do not provide any veterinary insurance cover and therefore strongly suggest that each client takes their own insurance out for their cat.
  • Any veterinary costs incurred by your cat during its stay will be added to your final bill and must be paid in full before your cat leaves the Catwick Cattery premises.
  • Should it be necessary for euthanasia on humane grounds by the veterinary surgeon caring for your cat, after consultation with the contact person, you give your consent.
  • Whilst every care and precaution is taken with every cat boarded at Catwick Cattery the proprietor cannot be held responsible for any loss, illness, disease or death that may occur during boarding.
  • Any cat left uncollected without contact for 8 days after the completed contracted booking date will be handed to an animal charity.
